Steakhouse Tips
If you ever buy “steakhouse” tips from the store, give these a try. This is the easiest marinade imaginable and the tips taste exactly the same! I leave out the mustard seed that you find in most steakhouse marinades but feel free to add if you like. Then these would look AND taste like they came straight from the butcher case.

Ingredients
1 lb sirloin steak tips
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup BBQ sauce, homemade or bottled
¼ Dijon mustard (preferably Trader Joe’s – it’s extra spicy)
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic
Directions
Cut the sirloin into 2 to 3 inch pieces. In a medium bowl mix the ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard and cider vinegar. With the back of a large knife, lightly crush the garlic and add to the mixture. Add the sirloin and toss to coat each piece thoroughly. Allow to marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
To cook, pre-heat grill to medium high. Remove garlic cloves from marinade. Grill sirloin tips for 3-4 minutes, turn, and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes for medium rare. (Careful – if you are used to the tips in the butcher case, these are a bit leaner and will cook faster). Happy grilling!
